The season of giving is not yet over. On December 28, employees of the National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office 02 (NRO2) distributed gifts to schoolchildren-beneficiaries under the Adopt-a-Learner Project (ALP) of the Organization of NEDA Employees (ONE-2). The NRO2 management is all-out in its support in the implementation of the ALP.

Fifteen adopted Grade 3 pupils from four schools in Tuguegarao City received sets of school supplies, hygiene kits, food and grocery packages, and a pair of rubber shoes. The pupils received their gifts with a grateful heart as they welcomed and met their online tutors from NRO2 in person for the first time. This simple moment of kindness made them feel that they are most loved.

ONE-2 members also felt fulfilled seeing the smiles of the children and their parents upon receiving the simple gift. “Joining the gift-giving activity for our learner-beneficiaries is a great and humbling experience for me. The happy faces of the learners and their parents when they received the gifts encouraged me to give and volunteer more. We hope to spread and continue this activity together with more members and partners,” said ONE-2 President Francisca C. Tannagan.

The gift-giving activity was made possible through the assistance of ONE-2 members, retired employees of the office, the I-SAVED organization, the Our Lady of La Salette Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and the Jan March Lending Investor Corporation. #NEDA2-PMED
