To ensure that the mandated organizational deliverables and development initiatives are achieved this year, NRO2 officials and staff committed to integrate innovation and greening strategies in the fulfillment of targeted tasks for the year. Among the strategies agreed upon includes the creation of inter-division teams to work on tasks along planning assistance to local governments, identification and packaging of project proposals, pilot implementation of Regional Geographic Information Network (RGIN) Geo Portal/Innovation Hub in selected regions, monitoring of the rehabilitation plans, implementation of paperless meetings of the RDC 2 and its Sectoral and Support Committees, and development and improvement of the office ICT services.
RD Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr., initially set the priorities and direction of the office for the year by emphasizing the need to further strengthen the collaboration with stakeholders especially with the Local Government Units (LGUs) to boost economic activities and infrastructure development in the region. He likewise commended the office for its greening activities that continually help in combatting climate change and for the unwavering service and commitment of staff that contributed to the attainment of the agency’s organizational outputs and initiatives in 2019.
As a result, the staff committed to deliver the agency’s performance commitments, flagship activities, civic engagements, and office improvements through the finalization of the NRO2 work program and staff assignments for 2020.
