The Regional Government Center Management Committee (RGCMC) sees the importance of safe and environment-friendly streets, pathways and sidewalks for government workers including RGC clients, bikers, among others.

Common parking areas and covered walk along Dalan na Pagayaya, stretching from the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) until the frontage of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) were completed as reported by the DPWH Cagayan Third District Engineering Office (CTDEO) during the first quarter meeting on 25 March 2021.These projects were initiated to avoid improper parking along the major RGC roads, facilitate smooth flow of traffic and improve road safety. Also the ramps of these parking spaces are being improved to better serve its clients.

The RGCMC also visualizes that road improvement will be more than just beautification. Hence, setbacks not suitable for parking will be developed into tree lanes. This will stop people from parking vehicles along the footpath. It will also provide shade over parking spaces which will further improve the quality of air in the RGC.

Other initiatives of the RGCMC include proper management of wastes in collaboration with the DENR and the City Government of Tuguegarao. The RGCMC also continues to work for the improvement of the RGC facilities to ensure an efficient one-stop government service center in the Cagayan Valley Region. #PMED
