The National Economic and Development Authority Region 2 was adjudged Second Runner-Up in the recently concluded 1st Gawad ACE BEN (Agency Contribution towards an Ennobling Basic Education for Nation-Building) of the DepEd Regional Office 02.

NEDA RO2 bannered the implementation of its Adopt-A-Learner Project, an activity that provides supplementary learning support to select Grade 3 coping learners who have significant educational needs, as its flagship contribution to basic education. NEDA RO2 also has several institutional activities such as its support to the Project ClassHome of the DepED as the convergence program of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict and the integration of basic education in the Regional Development Plans and Regional Development Investment Programs.

Gawad ACE BEN is a competition among Regional Line Agencies and Local Government Units showcasing their contributions to basic education in the region.
