The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office 2 (NEDA2) wrapped up its 2022 Strategic Planning Workshop with the awarding of several recognitions under the NEDA Recognition, Awards, and Incentives System for Excellence (NEDA-RAISE) for the years 2020 and 2021.
Mr. Mariel G. Calimag, Senior Economic Development Specialist (Sr. EDS), and Ms. Jessielyn R. Baltazar, EDS II, received the Gawad ng Director-Technical Staff award for 2020 and 2021, respectively. Ms. Malone S. Tion, AA III, received the 2021 Gawad ng Director for Non-Technical Staff.
The Gawad ng Director award is the highest recognition in NEDA2. It is awarded to employees who excelled in their respective roles during the year.
Another major recognition given was the Rookie of the Year award. It recognizes newly-hired staff who demonstrated exemplary performance during their first year of service in NEDA. For 2020, Ms. Elaine T. Battung, EDS II, and Ms. Malone N. Tion, AA III, received the Rookie of the Year award. Mr. Ely D. Cancejo, EDS II, received the same award for 2021.
At the height of the pandemic and the 2020 massive flooding in the region, NEDA2 staff demonstrated their commitment to public service and willingness to help co-workers and their respective communities. With this, the office conferred the Yan ang Serbisyo Award, Malasakit Award and Community Service Award to deserving staff.
The office also awarded a certificate of recognition to the Organization of NEDA Employees-Region 2 (ONE-2), through its President, Ms. Francisca C. Tannagan, for its Adopt-a-Learner Project which won first place in the BayaNEDAhan Best Project nationwide competition.
The awarding ceremony was led by RD Ledres. He was accompanied by the members of the NEDA2-RAISE committee composed of the Assistant Regional Director and five division chiefs of NEDA2.
