The National Economic and Development Authority Region 2 (NEDA2) consulted with key agency central offices (ACOs) and their regional counterparts on the top priority programs and projects (PAPs) in the region on 4 July, 2023 at the NEDA office, Tuguegarao City.
During the discussion, the ACOs presented the merits and justifications of the chosen PAPs of the region. For some projects which are still under the consideration of the ACOs, the regional offices committed to ensure compliance with the submission of the necessary documentary requirements. The identified PAPs will be reviewed and endorsed by the RDC2.
The endorsed PAPs will be presented to the ACOs’ in the upcoming Regional-National Investment Programming (RNIP) Dialogue scheduled in August for consideration and possible inclusion in the updating of the Public Investment Program (PIP) 2023-2028. The PIP is the country’s six-year investment programming document accompanying the Philippine Development Plan. It contains the PAPs to be implemented by various agencies. It will also serve as the main reference in the FY 2025 budget preparation.
The RNIP Dialogue in August is a bottom-up consultative process initiated by NEDA to facilitate the linking of Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) to the PIP. The RDIP is the counterpart of the PIP at the regional level. It also contains the priority PAPs of the regions. The enrolled projects are expected to operationalize the strategies outlined in the Regional Development Plan. #NEDA2-PDIPBD and NEDA2-DRD
