In line with the 50th Nutrition Month Celebration, NEDA2 conducted the Health and Wellness Forum cum Cookfest Competition and NutriFashion on July 22, 2024 at the NEDA2 gymnasium.

Mr. Edzell M. Arcinue, Nutrition Officer III of National Nutrition Council Region 02, discussed the nutrition month’s theme “Sa PPAN Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat”. He highlighted the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition, a framework for action for duty-bearers and other stakeholders in addressing the country’s food and nutrition security challenges.

For the cookfest, NEDA2 personnel showcased their culinary knowledge and skills where each division competed with their version of national and local classic dishes such as dinengdeng with fried fish, grilled fish, tinola, igado, chicken curry, and pork sinigang.

The Nutrifashion competition capped the NEDA2’s nutrition month celebration where employees, OJT students and GIP personnel modeled costumes crafted from recyclable materials and materials from the different food groups.
