Officials and technical staff from NEDA Regional Offices in Luzon, Regional Development Staff of NEDA Central Office, and the Metro Manila Development Authority held the third workshop to update the Luzon Spatial Development Framework (LSDF) 2015-2045 on September 26-27, 2024 in Baguio City.

As a follow-through of the workshops last May in Pampanga, and July in Cavite, this third and last workshop was conducted to review the outputs from Workshops 1 and 2, as well as formulate the Investment Program and the Implementation Plan of the LSDF.

The first day was devoted to the presentation and critiquing of draft chapters of the LSDF prepared by NROs 2, 3, 4A, 4B and 5.  The second day was utilized in firming-up the guidelines prepared by NRO1 for the identification of programs and projects which are deemed responsive to the spatial strategies on Urban Agglomeration, Connectivity and Vulnerability Reduction. Lastly, a draft Implementation Plan of the LSDF was presented by NRO CAR which was reviewed and enhanced by the other NROs.

NRO CAR, headed by Director Susan Sumbeling, hosted the activity at the Venus Parkview Hotel.  The LSDF updating process is expected to be finished by the end of 2024.
