The NEDA Region 2 celebrates this year’s Regional Development Council Week with the theme “ISAPLANO: Bagong Philippine Development Plan Para sa Patuloy na Pagsulong” through the conduct of a two-day training-writeshop on Completed Staff Work (CSW) on 27 and 28 September 2022.

Director Putli Suharni C. Samanodi-Candao of the Legislative Research Service, Senate of the Philippines and Regional Director Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño of NEDA Region X served as resource speakers during the training.

Director Candao discussed the new standards of CSW in Philippine Government Setting, Backstopping, Office Protocols, and Radical Transformation. She also discussed basic essence of writing and characteristics of skillful writing. This was followed by a writeshop in the afternoon to gauge the learning of training participants.

The following day, RD Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño also shared her expertise on Completed Staff Work (CSW) and on building the capacity of the Secretariat of the Boards of the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). Also in attendance are the staff of the NEDA who serve as Secretariat to the Regional Development Council (RDC). RD Cariño emphasized the important role of the Secretariat in making SUC Board meetings efficient and productive.

The two-day training-writeshop was participated in by staff from the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the region.
