The RDC2 – Regional Land Use Committee (RLUC), chaired by RD Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr. of the National Economic and Development Authority Region 2, convened for its Second Semester Meeting on December 3, 2024, via Zoom. The meeting was attended by 19 members from the regional line agencies, local government units, and the private sector.

During the meeting, the Luzon Spatial Development Framework (LSDF) 2025-2055 was endorsed. The LSDF, as a plan document embodies a shared vision to guide the development of the eight Luzon regions to enhance interregional complementation that would bring about effective spatial and economic integration in Luzon. Another document that was presented is the updated Cagayan Valley Regional Physical Framework Plan (RPFP) 2025-2055.

he RPFP provides a comprehensive framework that incorporates land use and physical components of the region with the requirements of a socioeconomic plan. This was presented to solicit inputs from the members for its enhancement. On the other hand, OIC-ARD Cheryl Moreno of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD) shared about their agency’s Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program (IDSAP). This a program that is designed to provide swift and effective aid to families whose homes have been destroyed by disasters. She emphasized that the assistance to be provided is holistic, from the disaster’s onset up to rehabilitation and recovery.
