The National Economic and Development Authority Region 2 (NEDA2) successfully conducted the 2024 Economic and Financial Literacy (EFL) Forum at the NEDA Pamegafanan Hall in Tuguegarao City today, December 11, 2024.
Aligned with AmBisyon Natin 2040, the countryโs long-term blueprint for building a prosperous middle-class society, the EFL Forum gathered various micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and local cooperatives to improve their understanding of available government-led programs and initiatives, financial services, potential markets, and opportunities that can expand their business operations.
Several topics were covered, namely, Government Programs and Facilities in Support of MSMEs, Digital Financial Literacy Concepts and Debt Management, and Financial Products and Services of Government Financial Institutions for MSMEs.
โWe hope that todayโs forum will provide a platform for sharing valuable ideas for MSMEs,โ NEDA2 OIC-Assistant Regional Director Gina Dayag said in her opening remarks.
The EFL Forum is an extension of the nationwide 2024 Economic and Financial Literacy Week, with the theme, โEmpowering Filipinos Toward Realizing a Prosperous Middle-Class Society through Economic and Financial Literacyโ.
Over 60 MSME owners and local cooperative representatives attended the event onsite and via Zoom.
