The National Economic and Development Authority – Cagayan Valley (NEDA2) was recognized as one of the recipients of the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Regional Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management (Level 2) for CY 2024, as announced by the PQA Program through its Facebook page on February 7, 2025.

Under Republic Act No. 9013, the PQA uses a performance excellence framework to assess its candidates and is conferred annually by the President to qualified organizations in the private and public sectors as the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance, patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award of the United States.

NEDA2, through its PQA Team, conducted a series of workshops that started in June 2024 to complete the PQA Self-Assessment Tool which consists of the following: (1) Organizational Profile Revisit, (2) Organizational Assessment based on the PQA Core Values, and (3) Comprehensive Assessment based on the PQA Criteria. On November 28, 2024, the PQA Team defended its output during the Assessment Evaluation Scoring with the Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office 2 focal person and its assessors.

This conferment shows NEDA2’s commitment to achieving service excellence and significant progress in building sound processes.
